The local software player for Android™ and Linux®
WPITCOM Signage Manager 3 is the central web-based CMS platform for managing, controlling, and monitoring local devices.
The second component consists of local hardware players running the WPITCOM Signage Suite 3 media player software for Linux® and Android™.
The local players transfer necessary content to their own storage and save it locally. This allows content, whether proprietary or paid retail media, to be played back continuously during operating hours, regardless of network connections.
Numerous important configurations of the local players can be adjusted in the CMS or locally. These include operating hours, kiosk and remote support settings, and various other configurations.
The local player is optimized for increased resilience and performance, making it a key factor in reducing on-site maintenance and associated costs.
The integrated screen control ensures that connected displays or video walls are reliably switched on and off, thus optimizing power consumption.
This objective is further supported by optional proactive infrastructure monitoring.

Easy, secure content upload with standardized classification
Crucial for efficient and successful use is the ability to quickly and easily find media content within your own media database – this is a constant challenge, especially with product images.
Therefore, uploaded content such as product images and videos, as well as your own content, can be easily tagged with various attributes, such as campaign ID, short description, keywords, and GS1 classification. This allows for easy searching by these attributes later on. Content is found quickly, and duplicates are avoided.
Further information on the international standards for content file naming and classification according for retail content interchange to the GS1® Digital Link can be found at GS1® Digital Link
Of course, these GS1® attributes for media content are also directly supported by content from our WPITMEDIACLOUD, so that these important attributes are automatically set for the desired content when it is directly imported.
Naturally, high security is always essential – therefore, WPITCOM Signage Manager 3 automatically scans all uploaded content for malware and viruses and only releases it for use after successful verification.
This ensures the system protects your installation and your investment in the long term.
Manage content easily
Easily and safely upload, describe, and then find content such as images, videos, and other content, even if you manage a large amount of content.
All content is automatically scanned for malware to ensure security.
Various content is automatically converted and constantly optimized for further use.

With our content service and our WPITCOM MediaCloud, you can easily and consistently create professional, attractively designed campaigns.
WPITCOM MediaCloud offers a variety of content directly for integration into your own playlists, in an attractive design.
WPITCOM ContentService offers optional services for the individual creation of custom content in two categories: standard content and individual content, at very attractive conditions in currently three languages.
Advanced features and options for large installations
Service optimization through active monitoring
Digital signage networks typically include a variety of installed devices of various performance classes and functions.
Significant efforts can arise in administration, service and hotline, for example in the reporting process, troubleshooting and service coordination.
The proactive monitoring of the WPITCOM Signage product family can significantly reduce this effort by allowing devices to constantly report their operational status and any problems that may arise proactively to the WPITCOM Signage Manager 3 without any further action, where they can be coordinated and directed for immediate processing.
Overall, not only is operational availability increased, reporting efforts reduced and service quality improved, but often an effective reduction in the overall operating costs of the installation also occurs.
Direct integration of services for maintenance and repairs
Problem reports received from the local WPITCOM Signage Suite 3 Player are collected and clearly displayed in Signage Manager 3 in the monitoring area.
Hotline or service employees can be stored and start working on problems directly in the system, if necessary, directly use one of the supported remote support platforms or forward the cases directly to stored external service companies.
Thanks to the integrated method, no additional programs are needed in parallel, but if necessary, they can be safely and precisely connected to individual developments, for example via web services.
Inventory management
Data from local devices is often a crucial component in monitoring and service for fast and targeted troubleshooting, but also a component of error-free documentation of digital signage network documentation.
WPITCOM Signage Manager 3 also requests the data from the installed players and stores it centrally.
This data also contains, if available on the display, the properties of the connected displays with type, serial numbers and other data, so that the available data can also be read out for comparison with frequencies and problem concentrations, which can optionally also benefit long-term planning.

Additional Features - we go far beyond only presenting content
Proactive Player & Display Monitoring
Especially in large installations and even more in programmatic adverting networks, constant information about the status of the 100s or 100o0s of locally installed signage player device can be a significant game changer, whether in availability or finally also in the cost of ownership and service cost.
WPITCOM Signage Manager offers an optional complete instracture monitoring system, to have constantly all necessary operational data or error states on hand, having the possibility to initiate internal hotline or second level immediately, or even transfer the case to externally connected on-site service providers.
By using one of the three supported third-party or open source remote service solutions, service time and cost can be additionally kept on reasonable level in most cases - based on our experience.
Player & Display Inventory
In managing large digital signage installations is not always that simple to keep an overview about the installation locations and devices, especially with shop opening, closures and hardware relocation.
The WPITCOM Signage Manager 3 Inventory option can significantly reduce this often seen amout of work by requesting the data of the locally installed device with a click on a button and store the information in the servers databases.
But not only the device's data itself is retrieved - the device manufacturers data, the serial number, model/type of any connected screen is included, as far as available from the screen.
The inventory data can be a valuable data to be crossed with the monitoring and error data in order to spot on error concentratiion and furthermore by valuable in the maintenance of the network.
We go above and beyond - with monitoring, emergency alerting and IOT
The supported content player solutions not only distribute data-based content, graphics, videos, animations or other web content to locally installed devices - we extend their functions in many ways.
In larger installations in particular, monitoring the device status, remote administration and sending emergency warnings is often an important issue - not just to reduce infrastructure and operating costs. Our solutions offer comprehensive solutions to these daily challenges.
But also using the remote display devices to measure and report local conditions to the control panel could be an interesting option - our solution provides opportunities for parallel IOT use of these devices.
Energy saving and efficiency
The Signage Suite 3 Framework was originally developed to make setting up and operating digital signage devices as easy as setting up a television. We believe that we have more than achieved this goal.
One of our main themes was to control the screens and the hardware as much as possible. The core package includes four different display control methods (depending on the supported manufacturer), including HDMI CEC, Network, Serial (professional display models), DPMS or DDC. If required, special interfaces can be developed.
Due to these immense possibilities, the Signage Suite 3 Framework can not only switch the screens on and off (standby mode), but even switch off the entire device (supported hardware) as defined in the "operation schedule" for each device.
Result - we can save as much energy as possible that would otherwise be wasted during the night or weekend.
Saving resources, protecting the environment and reducing your energy costs - that was one of our main goals - for you, for us, for our environment.
Advanced security
Independence from hardware manufacturers
Our solutions are designed to work with a wide variety of hardware and peripherals - whether it's displays, printers or peripherals.
You are not tied to any particular hardware manufacturer and it is entirely up to you to decide what hardware you need and want to use for your advertising strategy.
By providing different interfaces to supported screen systems, even mixed installations and quick swapping are no longer a real challenge.
Large installations
Our solutions are designed to operate in larger installations.
We also pay special attention to the possibility of the simplest possible roll-out and swap scenarios in order to achieve a high degree of cost efficiency and faster productivity.
Flexible license models
Our solutions are available in different license plans, whether purchase or rental.
For large companies we recommend the dedicated internal server installation. For medium-sized companies, the rental plan for can also be recommended.
We offer purchase and rental plans for all software components except for content licenses.
For pilot installations, WPITCOM offers a "try-and-buy" program and time-limited demo licenses for selected software products from our range.
Flexibility and customization
The WPITCOM Signage Suite 3 Framework runs on the Android, Android TV 10+, Ubuntu, Debian & Linaro Linux operating systems and supports a wide range of hardware platforms of different sizes.
By using the system interfaces and the WPITCOM Signage Suite 3 APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), additional individual or strategic services and functions can even be included directly by the license holder.
The complete application manual and an additional integrators manual support the creative development of additional customer-specific visions and functions.
