The proactive monitoring of the WPITCOM Signage product family can significantly reduce this effort by allowing devices to constantly report their operational status and any problems that may arise proactively to the WPITCOM Signage Manager 3 without any further action, where they can be coordinated and directed for immediate processing.
Overall, not only is operational availability increased, reporting efforts reduced and service quality improved, but often an effective reduction in the overall operating costs of the installation also occurs.
Problem reports received from the local WPITCOM Signage Suite 3 Player are collected and clearly displayed in Signage Manager 3 in the monitoring area.
Hotline or service employees can be stored and start working on problems directly in the system, if necessary, directly use one of the supported remote support platforms or forward the cases directly to stored external service companies.
Thanks to the integrated method, no additional programs are needed in parallel, but if necessary, they can be safely and precisely connected to individual developments, for example via web services.
Data from local devices is often a crucial component in monitoring and service for fast and targeted troubleshooting, but also a component of error-free documentation of digital signage network documentation.
WPITCOM Signage Manager 3 also requests the data from the installed players and stores it centrally.
This data also contains, if available on the display, the properties of the connected displays with type, serial numbers and other data, so that the available data can also be read out for comparison with frequencies and problem concentrations, which can optionally also benefit long-term planning.

Especially in large installations and even more in programmatic adverting networks, constant information about the status of the 100s or 100o0s of locally installed signage player device can be a significant game changer, whether in availability or finally also in the cost of ownership and service cost.
WPITCOM Signage Manager offers an optional complete instracture monitoring system, to have constantly all necessary operational data or error states on hand, having the possibility to initiate internal hotline or second level immediately, or even transfer the case to externally connected on-site service providers.
By using one of the three supported third-party or open source remote service solutions, service time and cost can be additionally kept on reasonable level in most cases - based on our experience.
In managing large digital signage installations is not always that simple to keep an overview about the installation locations and devices, especially with shop opening, closures and hardware relocation.
The WPITCOM Signage Manager 3 Inventory option can significantly reduce this often seen amout of work by requesting the data of the locally installed device with a click on a button and store the information in the servers databases.
But not only the device's data itself is retrieved - the device manufacturers data, the serial number, model/type of any connected screen is included, as far as available from the screen.
The inventory data can be a valuable data to be crossed with the monitoring and error data in order to spot on error concentratiion and furthermore by valuable in the maintenance of the network.
The supported content player solutions not only distribute data-based content, graphics, videos, animations or other web content to locally installed devices - we extend their functions in many ways.
In larger installations in particular, monitoring the device status, remote administration and sending emergency warnings is often an important issue - not just to reduce infrastructure and operating costs. Our solutions offer comprehensive solutions to these daily challenges.
But also using the remote display devices to measure and report local conditions to the control panel could be an interesting option - our solution provides opportunities for parallel IOT use of these devices.
The Signage Suite 3 Framework was originally developed to make setting up and operating digital signage devices as easy as setting up a television. We believe that we have more than achieved this goal.
One of our main themes was to control the screens and the hardware as much as possible. The core package includes four different display control methods (depending on the supported manufacturer), including HDMI CEC, Network, Serial (professional display models), DPMS or DDC. If required, special interfaces can be developed.
Due to these immense possibilities, the Signage Suite 3 Framework can not only switch the screens on and off (standby mode), but even switch off the entire device (supported hardware) as defined in the "operation schedule" for each device.
Result - we can save as much energy as possible that would otherwise be wasted during the night or weekend.
